Russia modifies clinical trial regulations; medical translation
Russia has big plans when it comes to medical devices. By 2020, the country would like to be seen as equal to the world's leading medical device powerhouses. Well, it looks like that plan hit another snag.

Russian medical device regulators have recently extended, until January 2017, their own deadline for requiring device manufacturers to obtain replacement registration certifications. The previous deadline was January 2014. Officials want to amend Government Decision number 1416 in order to allow the deadline extension and to simplify registration requirements for low-risk medical devices.

What's interesting is that Brandwood Biomedical reports that all of this hoopla may be due to "a corruption problem". They don't backup this claim but that should cause some waves throughout the industry...
