ACRP conference - report from Boston

Four of us from ForeignExchange were in Boston earlier this week for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals annual conference. This was our first year with a booth, and we weren't sure what to expect. We came away satisfied that it was a worthwhile experience, as we learned a lot, made some good contacts and gave away a LOT of free flashlights.

The attendees were largely clinical site coordinators and monitors with a healthy mix of investigators, managers and data specialists. The other exhibitors included recruitment firms, CROs, software providers and IRBs. Walking the exhibit hall, we connected with potential partners and clients and RE-connected with some old friends. All of us at the booth took turns attending the educational sessions, including topics covering globalization of trials and the use of software in trials.

We had a lot of visitors to our handsome booth, some just looking for freebies, some linguists looking for work and some people interested in talking to us about their translation needs. It was a very successful show by any measure and we're already talking about what to do next year. Maybe we'll even try to speak at the conference.... stay tuned.

Next up for us: the Society for Pharma and Biotech Trainers Conference in Orlando in late May.
